Welcome! There will be a time when I release this journal to the rest of my family, but for now it's limited to just my kids and close friends. The last thing I want is pity or someone feeling sorry for me because I refuse to see myself as a victim; nor do I want push back for not wanting to do chemo. I am also writing for an eventual larger audience with the intention of inspiring and educating those not only facing a similar challenge, especially those who desire to avoid chemo if at all possible, but also their family, friends and support circle as well.
Please keep my condition private and confidential for now. Of course, I told my kids it's okay to share with anyone they need for their own emotional support.
After the 12 initial posts currently in my journal, I expect new posts will be sporadic and only reporting on events such as new treatments and test results. I will email a notice for new posts. The only symptom I am experiencing is my voice is still pretty hoarse, so please understand when at times I don't want to talk on the phone.
Thank you for understanding and accepting that my journal needs a login account to access it. The steps are as follows:
- Fill in your name and email below and submit. Your email address will be your username.
- All future emails will be coming from [email protected]; so put this into your email contact list to prevent messages going into your spam/junk filter.
- I will get an email with this information and an approval link.
- Once I see the email and approve the login, you will get an email with your password and the link to login to your account.
- If for some reason you don't get this email in a timely manner, do check your spam/junk filter, then send me a message.
Thanks again, I love you all.
P.S. If you do know of someone that is going through a similar challenge that would benefit by reading my journal, let me know and I will set up a new sign up page with appropriate wording and a field to enter who referred them.
